Don Goodman believes Leeds United "cannot put a foot wrong" following Leicester City's 2-1 win over West Brom at the King Power Stadium on Saturday 20 April.

The Foxes scored in either half through Wilfried Ndidi and then Jamie Vardy - who also missed a penalty - before Jed Wallace netted what ultimately proved to be a consolation goal for the Baggies.

The result leaves Leeds four points off new Championship leaders Leicester and two points behind second-placed Ipswich Town with three games remaining.

And Goodman, speaking on Sky Sports Football [13:55, 20 April], sent a message to the Whites during the game: "We spoke about that four-point gap. Leeds United cannot put a foot wrong now if they want to catch Leicester City."

Leeds United may need to be perfect

Even perfection would not guarantee Leeds an automatic promotion spot - such has been the effect of their recent dip in form in the context of a Championship title race featuring three - arguably four - excellent sides.

After a run of 15 unbeaten league outings, Leeds have failed to win any of their last three, losing against Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers either side of a 0-0 draw against Sunderland.

As a result, Daniel Farke's men now find themselves needing a favour from Ipswich, or several from Leicester, but even then, the Whites must be perfect in order to capitalise, should the opportunity arise.

Trips to Middlesbrough and QPR are must-win affairs before what looks set to be a dramatic final-day clash against fourth-placed Southampton at Elland Road, who themselves are in with an outside chance of a top-two finish.

Leeds must shake off their recent blip and return to the machine-like form that they have exhibited for most of the season.
