Don Goodman hails 'creative force' Jack Harrison before Leeds United win v Chelsea
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is a “creative force” according to Sky Sports pundit and commentator Don Goodman, following their 3-0 win over Chelsea.
The Whites claimed a memorable 3-0 win at Elland Road against their rivals thanks to goals from Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo and Harrison as they dominated throughout the game.
But Sky Sports commentator Goodman picked out 25-year-old Harrison as the stand out performer as named him as man of the match and labelled him as “outstanding”.
“He’s a player whose progress I’ve watched from the Championship through to the Premier League, and he’s such a creative force,” he said.
“And also, when Leeds don’t have the ball he works as hard as anybody you’re likely to see. A really outstanding footballer.
“Every time I see him he gets better and better. He has been outstanding.”
Harrison has started this season exactly how he managed to end the season last year, on fire and with goal contributions on demand.
The winger has been direct, pacy, strong and found a way to constantly effect games in a positive way, and it’s a huge reason why the Whites have been able to open their campaign with two wins and a draw from three games.
There’s plenty of reasons why Newcastle have been linked with a mega money move for him this summer, and just as many reasons as to why they’re refusing to do business.
Harrison’s start to the season has been amazing and with the World Cup to come later this year, there couldn’t be a better time for him to find his rhythm and start stringing performances together if he wants to break into the squad.
For Don Goodman to praise you when you’re wearing a Leeds shirt you must be doing something special, and that’s exactly what Harrison is doing. Long may it continue.
