Dominic Calvert-Lewin reacts as gutting surgery confirmed with season over
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been a star for Leeds United this campaign.
Calvert-Lewin signed for Leeds in the summer and has gone on to prove any doubters wrong at Elland Road.
Initial reservations over his signing eventually ended with Calvert-Lewin winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for December.
His impressive form has continued into the new year, with his goal helping Leeds to secure a 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest last Friday.
Daniel Farke and Co. are relying on him to score goals in LS11, and now Calvert-Lewin has reacted after a season-ending injury was confirmed elsewhere.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin speaks out after surgery
Calvert-Lewin made lifestyle changes at Leeds to help him succeed, and he has gone on to do exactly that with the Whites.
The Englishman has been superb for the majority of the season and has represented a constant goalscoring threat.
That has helped Farke’s men steer clear of the bottom three as they look to avoid a relegation battle later in the campaign.

Leeds will need all of their best players to remain fit and available to do so, something which hasn’t been the case for Calvert-Lewin over the years.
For now, he is still fit and firing, but the same can’t be said about Jack Grealish after he picked up a season-ending injury at Everton.
The ex-England international took to Instagram on Monday to confirm the news, revealing that he was “gutted” to see his campaign finish so early.
That has prompted a reaction from former England colleague Calvert-Lewin, who liked the social media post on Monday.
Leeds United need Calvert-Lewin to avoid injury
Grealish has been one of Everton’s best players this season, so to lose him will represent a sizable blow to the Merseyside outfit.
The Elland Road faithful will watch on and hope that their side doesn’t face a similar fate, especially while they’re just six points clear of the bottom three.
Leeds already have injury concerns of their own, but won’t want to add Calvert-Lewin to that list any time soon.
Leeds United injury list:
- Anton Stach
- Pascal Struijk
- Ilia Gruev
Losing the striker could be detrimental, so maintaining his fitness and allowing him to flourish further in the Premier League will be massively important.
