Diego Llorente reacts to Leeds defeat v Chelsea

Diego Llorente has vented his frustration on Twitter after Leeds United lost 3-2 against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Spanish defender has hailed the Whites fans for their support, but he has aimed a thinly-veiled dig at the referee for some of the decisions that went in the favour of the home side.

Jorginho scored a stoppage-time penalty to earn Chelsea all three points, but it was a terrific performance from Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The Spaniard wrote on Twitter: “You cannot fight against some decisions.

“It is difficult to understand why we do not have one more point today than yesterday.

“Great work from the whole team and spectacular fans. We have to keep fighting.”

Without Kalvin Phillips, without Patrick Bamford, without Liam Cooper, Leeds produced a superb performance away from home on Saturday.

Jorginho scored his second penalty after 94 minutes, and Leeds players are infuriated with the decision.

Raphinha scored the opening goal for the Whites with the game’s first penalty.

Teenage sensation Joe Gelhardt appeared to have earned a late point for Leeds with his first touch when he poked in an instinctive finish from Tyler Robert’s low cross.

Jorginho scored his first penalty of the game after Raphinha’s sliding challenge on Antonio Rudiger. However, it’s the late penalty decision that has left the visitors frustrated.

Mateusz Klich had brought down Rudiger in the dying seconds of the match, and it appeared to be a very soft penalty.

It was a frustrating end to the game for the visitors but Bielsa will be encouraged with the effort shown by his players.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are hot on the heels of this international striker after a 20-goal season.
