Di Marzio shares Leeds United transfer update amid Roma interest in Diego Llorente
Leeds United defender Diego Llorente is reportedly wanted by Roma permanently with Jose Mourinho being a fan of the defender.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio [16 June], the Spaniard is on his way back to the Italian club, this time on a permanent basis.
They’re pursuing the Spaniard’s services with “full speed” and the clubs are agreeing on a transfer fee before the deal can be completed.

Good riddance
Llorente was given his chance under two different managers and he failed to impress either one of them so an exit is what’s needed.
Roma are desperate to sign him and he’s a player Mourinho admires so the board will want to do what they can to keep him happy.
He’s been linked with jobs elsewhere and refused to commit to staying in Rome beyond this summer after their Conference League final defeat.

If he’s not given the targets he wants, there’s a chance he’ll leave so Llorente is one signing the board will have to make for him.
This should put the Whites in a good position to get the price that they want and they shouldn’t lower their valuation too much.
Relegation obviously makes things more difficult for them but it’s important that they hold their ground this time.
In other Leeds United news, a BBC pundit has been left stunned as Phil Hay has dropped a fresh update on who the Whites are considering bringing in as manager this summer.
