Dharmesh Sheth shares what Leeds United are in market for in January, more than one deal possible
Dharmesh Sheth has shared that Marcelo Bielsa only wants January signings that can improve his Leeds United starting XI.
The Whites have been ravaged by injuries this season, and numerous moves to just bolster squad depth have already been mooted.
That doesn’t appear to be the case, with Sheth sharing the only market that Leeds are targeting in the next three weeks at Elland Road.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Transfer Show this evening (07/01), Sheth mooted that multiple players could arrive.
“Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is in the market for players that would improve the first XI,” he said.
Over to you, Victor.
Victor Orta will be working as hard as ever to strengthen this squad, with the need bigger than ever at Elland Road.
With crucial first-team players such as Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper out until March and others such as Rodrigo out, depth is desperately needed.
It looks as though Bielsa will stick with under-23s on the bench and giving them chances over bringing in more experienced options before the end of the month.
We respect that but sometimes there comes a time where you need to bite a bullet, and the Whites have reached that stage.
Two new players are needed at a minimum, and if they’re of the quality suggested, they could easily overtake the likes of Mateusz Klich in this squad.
With three weeks to go and the FA Cup this weekend, the need isn’t urgent, but as three weeks turn to two and one this month, that’s when we expect Leeds to put their foot on the gas.
