David Seaman angry with what he’s heard about Marcelo Bielsa situation at Leeds United

David Seaman is angry with reports that Marcelo Bielsa is set to leave Leeds United after their 4-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.

After the game on 26 February, talkSPORT reported that the 66-year-old manager has mutually agreed to leave Elland Road with the Whites just two points clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone.

Ex-RB Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch is reportedly Leeds’ number one target to replace Bielsa but the Argentine’s supposed exit has left Leeds-mad Arsenal legend Seaman furious and wondering what’s next for the club.

“Unhappy to hear that Bielsa has left Leeds,” wrote Seaman via his personal Twitter account on Saturday night [26 February] after talkSPORT’s story broke.

“Any manager would have found it hard to lose the spine of his team and still get results.

“All Leeds fans will always love him. What’s next for Leeds?”

Resignation or sacking?

If Bielsa has resigned then we’re way more understanding of the situation than if he’s been sacked.

The Times is reporting that Leeds’ hierarchy are set to sack Bielsa and will announce his departure with an official statement today (27 February).

However, talkSPORT’s story says that it was a mutual agreement for Bielsa to go, which suggests that he may have resigned from his post as the Leeds United manager.

If he’s been sacked, then it’s not on.

Look at what Bielsa has done for this football club and look at the reaction from the fans on social media to the news of him going.

We really doubt that anyone would come close to being able to do the job that Bielsa would do if he was to stay on.

Marsch may have a great CV and he may interview well but will he be able to turn around this club’s fortunes in the Premier League? We have our doubts.

If Bielsa has resigned on his own accord then we can see why because he may feel as though he’s damaging the team and there’s no way he can be happy about the way things have gone.

We feel for him and we hope that everyone will always see El Loco as a Leeds legend.
