David Prutton makes Leeds United v Swansea City prediction after ‘chance missed’ versus Rotherham
Sky Sports presenter David Prutton expects Leeds United to return to winning ways when they face Swansea City at Elland Road on Wednesday (29 November).
The Whites returned to action after the international break by drawing 1-1 at lowly Rotherham United on Friday (24 November), Leeds’ frustrations compounded by second-place Ipswich Town losing to West Brom the following day.
Former Leeds midfielder, writing for Sky Sports, thinks Leeds will overcome Swansea, though, predicting a 3-1 win for Daniel Farke’s men, who are third in the table.

“Just when you think Leeds are going to start marching, they go and manage to draw at Rotherham. They should have been a few up in that game before conceding the equaliser. It was a chance missed to put some real pressure on Ipswich,” Prutton said.
“Swansea would have been frustrated to lose that two-goal lead against Hull. I just can’t see them getting anything from Elland Road, either.”
Chance to rebound
Leeds had won three straight games prior to the international break, so there was definitely a sense of an opportunity missed with the draw at Rotherham, especially given Ipswich were beaten by West Brom.
Farke’s side are a joy to watch at other times but they do seem to have this annoying habit of stalling when they really get into some good momentum, it is a habit they will definitely want to kick as we approach the second half of the season.

Swansea have flattered to deceive this season and let a two-goal lead slip in their 2-2 draw against Hull City, so Leeds will enter this one as favourite to take the three points and further enhance their automatic promotion hopes.
It represents a great opportunity for Leeds to return to winning ways and build some momentum heading into December and the chaotic festive fixtures that are on the horizon.
In other Leeds United news, Joe Gelhardt is set for an “inevitable” January exit at Elland Road.
