David Prutton fires Leeds United relegation warning

David Prutton has fired Leeds United an ‘imperative’ warning ahead of their clash with Newcastle United.

The Whites currently sit 15th in the Premier League just eight points off the relegation zone.

With the Toon also amongst the relegation fight Leeds must make sure a loss against their relegation rivals is ‘avoided at all costs’.

“It’s imperative they do so as it’s important to take points off teams that could potentially do you some serious harm which is exactly where Leeds and Newcastle find each other.” the Sky Sports pundit said, as per Yorkshire Evening Post.

“Leeds have got to make sure that all three points are not surrendered and that defeat is avoided at all costs.

“Every game will feel like Leeds United’s biggest for some time until they are properly clear of trouble.”

Relegation scrap

Bielsa and Leeds should have enough firepower to get themselves out of the dog fight they currently find themselves in.

The continuous injuries as well as covid forcing the majority of the Whites’ key players this season has made it nearly impossible to string together a run of form.

Their injury problem is clearing slightly but there is no true light at the end of the tunnel with talisman Patrick Bamford yet again falling injured.

Bielsa will need everyone fit and firing in order to beat their relegation rivals and lift themselves out of this mess.

The Whites will have to be very careful though as they aren’t the only side who are setting their sights higher up the table.

Everton in 16thhave just appointed Duncan Ferguson so you can expect a change in form over at Goodison.

Norwich seem to be finding a run of form under Dean Smith and this weekend’s high rolling opponents Newcastle have made several signings to ensure Premier League survival.

The games against the teams below them are absolutely vital.

In other Whites news, Leeds United make history Premier League history with teenage debuts.
