Former Leeds United midfielder David Norris has praised Stuart Dallas' performances this season for the Whites.

Dallas has undoubtedly been one of Leeds' players of the season and deserves all the praise that has come in his way in the last few months.

He is Marcelo Bielsa's first name on the team sheet and his versatility has seen the Argentine deploy him in a number of positions.

Dallas has played at left-back, right-back, central midfield, defensive midfield and on the right-wing as well.

Norris, who has been impressed with his versatility, told Football FanCast, "He has stepped up and not been fazed jumping up the leagues and he has taken the step up from the Championship into the Premier League fantastically.

"Wherever you play him, he gives you that consistency so he’s a great player to have in and around your squad, and I’ve heard that he’s also a good lad.”

Like a Swiss army knife

We're surprised that, given our centre-back woes this season, Dallas hasn't been asked to play in a central defensive role.

Even if he would play there, we're sure he would put in another splendid display, as he has all season.

The Northern Irishman is on a £20,000-a-week salary at Elland Road, and per Football Insider, is expected to open talks at the end of the season and sign an extension in the coming months.

Dallas, 30, is certainly in the prime of his career and is loving life at Elland Road. Him signing a new deal, much like Bielsa, is merely a formality knowing that the two are extremely happy to be at the club.

The versatile stalwart has started every league game this campaign and unless he suffers an injury is expected to play in all 38 Premier League games.

His last home game is going to be in front of fans and we cannot wait to see the reception he gets.
