Dave Edwards loves Wales press v Austria as Leeds United ace Dan James leads charge

David Edwards was left stunned by Leeds United ace Dan James on Thursday as he led the Wales charge against Austria.

The Sky Sports pundit admitted it was “super” work, as James himself managed to steal the ball of the Austrian defence.

James is no stranger to playing up top, with his speed often more dangerous when pressing rather than his work on the ball.

Speaking live on Sky Sports during coverage of the Wales clash, Edwards was thrilled as James put himself about in the final third.

“It’s super pressure initially from Wales,” he said.

“It’s started by Wilson and then it is followed by Dan James.”

Super.

This is a real weapon, not only for Leeds, but clearly Wales as well.

Jesse Marsch will have it easy this week to watch players in the international break, with James one of few to have left due to COVID and injuries back at Thorp Arch.

James rarely suffers injuries, and it is a huge surprise given how he never stops running, and not just that, sprinting at the pace he can reach.

The Austrian defence will be having nightmares about the little Welsh speedster after tonight in Cardiff, and his confidence will be through the roof.

With big games against Southampton and Watford to come after the break, having James available off the back of a possible huge win, will also be huge for the Whites.
