Darren Bent destroys Leeds United owners for sacking Marcelo Bielsa
Darren Bent has slammed the Leeds United owners for the dismissal of fan favourite Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites’ terrible form in recent weeks has seen them drop to 16th in the Premier League, just two points off the relegation zone.
Bent believes the appointment of Jesse Marsch is a huge risk and goes against the beliefs of the supporters.

“I loved watching Leeds play because you knew what you were going to get, it was going to be ended to end action.” He told TalkSPORT.
Bent added “I guess the owners haven’t really listened to the supporters because if they had then he would still be in charge, but they have obviously thought more about their pockets that if they do go down the money they are going to lose.
“Which again I get, I am just said he is not going to be in the Premier League anymore.”
When asked whether they have a better chance of staying up under Marsch, Bent replied: “I give them as much hope as I did when Bielsa was in charge if I’m honest.
“He kind of ingrained in them the kind of style of football that they play which is going to take some time to change.
“I think it is a risk.”
Hopeful
Bent said he was disappointed to not be seeing Bielsa in the Premier League but if the Whites’ form continued on the same path it was on, he would have been heading for the Championship regardless.
It is a bittersweet feeling for Leeds fans. The Bielsa chapter has ended and will always be remembered but it was hopefully the right decision.
As hard as it is, sometimes you have to remove emotion from football and think about what is best for the team and the Argentines complete inability to change his tactics definitely wasn’t.
Yes, Marsch isn’t the most experienced manager and it will be very difficult to come and adapt to the Premier League whilst keeping such a poor team in the league, but the owners seem to have a long-term plan in place, and everyone involved with the club should trust them.
This could be the start of a very good next chapter at Elland Road.
