Darren Ambrose slates Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa

Darren Ambrose has ripped into Marcelo Bielsa and wants him to change something at Leeds United.

The Whites have only won one league game all season and sit in 17th place, and are out of the Carabao Cup.

This led the talkSPORT pundit to question the Argentine, and he thinks he needs to change the way the Whites play.

He said: “They are lucky that there are three worse teams in Norwich, Newcastle, and Burnley because otherwise, they’d be sitting in the bottom three.

“You cannot get away from that fact; he’s [Bielsa] not doing enough this season, and I love the way he [came] in and was a breath of fresh air in the Premier League.

“They’re getting turned over.

“Sometimes you can’t do that; if you get turned over every week, you’re going to go down; you need another way of playing.

“If Marcelo Bielsa is as good as everyone says he is, he will come up with a solution, I have no doubt, but he needs to come up with it soon.”

Harsh but fair from Ambrose?

If you look at the number of goals Leeds have conceded per game, they have only conceded more than two twice this season.

One of those was that horrible 5-1 defeat to Manchester United, and the other was a 3-0 loss to Liverpool at home [Sky Sports].

So, you could argue that defensively, they haven’t actually been that bad, but they have only kept one clean sheet in the league and seem to be only capable of scoring one goal a game.

So, you can see why they are struggling and also why Ambrose has called for Bielsa to change the way that he plays.

However, we highly doubt that is going to happen, and you just have to believe that the Whites will get better when the likes of Patrick Bamford, Robin Koch, and Luke Ayling return.

Certainly, they have missed their key players and hopefully, once they are back, the Whites will rise back up the division.
