Danny Mills stunned by Daniel Farke live on Sky Sports after Leeds United chaos
Danny Mills has heaped praise on Daniel Farke for his excellent start to life with Leeds United, praising the German for managing “more than chaos” at Elland Road.
Farke joined the Whites in the summer and has started his tenure excellently, including masterminding an excellent 1-0 win over Leicester City on Friday (3 November) to keep Leeds’ hopes of winning automatic promotion to the Premier League alive.
Multiple players departed Elland Road following relegation to the Championship, with several players activating release clauses in their contract and Mills was eager to praise Farke for creating a team with a clear identity amid the chaos.

Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (4 November, 13:27) he said: “The manager has obviously got a clear way of playing, you have to remember they had a massive clear out in the summer. It was more than chaos, everybody had to leave, and players’ contracts were getting cut left right and centre.
“Massive wage reductions, they all wanted to leave. The manager’s come in and he’s doing a really good job, but again it’s about experience, it’s about a manager that knows that division.”
Perfect leader
It is never easy for a team to bounce back from relegation and then make an immediate return to the Premier League, but Leeds United have given themselves the best chance of doing exactly that by appointing Farke as their new manager this summer.
The German knows the Championship inside and out and few know what it takes to win the division more than the former Norwich boss, who took the Canaries to the Premier League twice during his tenure at Carrow Road.

Friday’s clash with Leicester was likely to be one of the Whites’ toughest matches of the season, especially considering it was at the King Power Stadium and while Leeds were made to work for their three points, they were really impressive against Enzo Maresca’s side.
One game won’t define the season, but it could well be the springboard from which Farke’s side will jump for the remainder of the campaign, as they should believe that they can beat anybody having already beaten the Foxes on their own patch.
With a couple of extra additions in January, Farke could well ensure that nobody remembers just how much chaos he had to deal with over the summer, as Leeds already aren’t playing like a team looking for their identity.
In other Leeds United news, Farke has revealed that the 49ers and the Whites still have plenty of work to do off of the field
