Danish media wax lyrical over Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen

Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen put in a terrific performance for Denmark as they beat Austria 2-0 in the Nations League on June 14.

The 24-year-old started as a right wing-back and played the full 90 minutes en route to his side’s victory.

Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten gave him a 6/10 rating and waxed lyrical over his performance on the night.

They wrote, “The Leeds United back has the English spirit in him, he never gives up. He played well on the right side and got some balls.”

Some talent

It looks like Leeds have got some talent on their hands as they’ve signed the 24-year-old and he’ll probably be their first choice next season.

Jesse Marsch knew who he was bringing to Elland Road, having worked with the Denmark international previously.

The entire description of his performance on Tuesday night is why Leeds fans should be excited about what he’ll be bringing to the table for them.

He is fearless and keeps going until he ends up as the victor and that suggests that he has a winning mentality which would undoubtedly rub off on the rest of the Leeds players.

Hopefully, he has a relaxing summer after international duty and comes back for pre season fresh and ready to be a success at Elland Road.

He’ll know Marsch’s system to the T and would work seamlessly in it if everyone’s on the same page.

In other Leeds United news, the quest to seal another major signing takes fresh twist amid significant recent development.
