Daniel James and Pascal Struijk ruled out, Crysencio Summerville update shared for Leeds United v Bristol City

Leeds United will be without Daniel James and Pascal Struijk for their Championship clash with Bristol City on Friday night, Daniel Farke has confirmed.

Both players are suffering with an adductor injury and won’t be available to play having yet to return to training, but Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray have returned to training after missing the FA Cup draw with Plymouth.

Summerville and Gray are available for the game at Ashton Gate, while Charlie Cresswell is also in contention to play after resolving his issues with a lack of game time.

Huge

The club were always likely to be without Dan James and Struijk for this game after Farke’s comments last week, but it’s excellent to hear that both Summerville and Gray are back.

Both missed the game against Plymouth with knocks and there were some suggestions that it may have been more serious for the young midfielder-turned-right-back, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Gray has become a key player and a regular in defence this season and with Luke Ayling and Djed Spence both leaving the club during this transfer window, his fitness is even more important at this stage.

The form of the team away from Elland Road hasn’t been the best this season but if Daniel Farke is to find a way to turn things around it has to start on Friday, because the squad he has then will be what he has for the rest of the season.

Ultimately every game is a must-win at this point with all of Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich battling for automatic promotion too, and there is a big chance to gain some ground in this game.
