Daniel Farke’s unwanted record to be extended as Chris Sutton predicts Brighton vs Leeds
Leeds United travel to face Brighton on Saturday.
Off the back of Leeds’ win against West Ham, the Whites are back on the road this weekend when they face Brighton.
With 11 points from their first nine games, Leeds have had a solid start to life back in the Premier League, and could go up to ninth with a win, depending on results elsewhere.
However, with the Seagulls unbeaten at home since a defeat to Aston Villa in April, it will be a huge ask for the Whites to come away with three points, and Chris Sutton seems to have had that in mind.

Brighton are unbeaten against Daniel Farke
Daniel Farke’s record in the Premier League was a concern at the very start of the season, but with a gap already emerging between Leeds and the bottom three, a lot of those concerns have been subdued.
However, the German is yet to secure victory against Brighton after three attempts, with one draw and two defeats in that time.
All three of those encounters have been with Norwich, with the most recent one back in 2021, when the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Carrow Road.
With that in mind, Sutton believes that the record will live on beyond this weekend, as per his predictions via BBC Sport.
He said: “Leeds have made a great start and I am pleased for Daniel Farke.
“He took a lot of stick when he was at Norwich, when I kept hearing how he wasn’t a Premier League manager, but apart from their heavy defeat at leaders Arsenal, his side have been competitive in all of their games so far.
“I am still going with a Brighton win here, though. 2-0.”
Leeds vs Brighton head-to-head
Dating back to 1960, Leeds and Brighton have faced off against each other on just 51 occasions, with just one win separating them.
The Whites have found success against the Seagulls on 18 occasions, while Brighton have won 19 of their meetings with Leeds.
With that said, Leeds have lost three of their last six meetings with Brighton, with the other three ending in a draw.
Their last win was back in 2017, when goals from Chris Wood secured a 2-0 victory at Elland Road.
