Daniel Farke would take certain Leicester players at Leeds United right now after win – Phil Hay

Daniel Farke would take certain Leicester City players at Leeds United despite his side emerging victorious, according to Phil Hay.

The Whites secured a 1-0 victory on Friday, 3 November, at the King Power Stadium with Georginio Rutter scoring the winner.

Both sides got relegated to the Championship and are contenders to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

Hay wrote in the Athletic on 4 November, “There are players at Leicester who Farke would take and players at Leeds who would appeal to Maresca; two squads with the class to get out of Dodge.”

True

On paper, Leeds and Leicester have the two best squads in the Championship and were many people’s favourites for automatic promotion.

However, due to the uncertainty behind the scenes about player futures, the Whites did not have the sort of start as the Foxes.

This saw Enzo Maresca’s side steal a march on them and the entire Championship and it’ll be a huge surprise if they fail to get out of the Championship dogfight.

Leeds also need to maintain the consistency as they are within touching distance of second place and that would happen sooner rather than later if they keep winning games.

Hopefully, they do not face any more fitness issues as that’s always a concern which can lead to poor form.

Thus far, Farke’s done a tremendous job in charge in tricky circumstances and he’s the right man to get Leeds back up.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that big European clubs have been keeping tabs on a Whites player for a while and are still willing to sign him.
