Daniel Farke told to find number 10 as Leeds United recruitment team ‘work on solutions’
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke must find his own number 10 from within the group as his recruitment team work on solutions, according to Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross.
The new boss in the Elland Road dugout has utilised the likes of Sam Greenwood, Joe Gelhardt and Crysencio Summerville in the role.
Leeds have lost in pre-season against Manchester United and Monaco, and have matches against Nottingham Forest and Hearts still to come.

“Sam Greenwood, Joe Gelhardt and Crysencio Summerville have all been used by Farke in the hole behind the front man through the two public friendlies we have seen,” Cross wrote for Leeds Live. “The German has effectively admitted there are no natural playmakers who can fill that role in its traditional sense.
“While Nick Hammond and the recruitment team work on solutions, Farke must find his own from within the group he already has.
“This is just one of several roles Farke will be mulling over through the friendlies and reporting back on his wants and needs in the market.”

Final third struggles?
New Whites boss Farke has lost a long list of players this summer, with the likes of Robin Koch, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Brenden Aaronson and Rodrigo all leaving Elland Road in recent times.
The German has had to pick up the pieces of what’s left, but it may just be time for him to push for new players, having already brought in the talented and versatile Ethan Ampadu.
The Wales international will improve things at the back, but Farke is clearly in need of attacking talent, with the Whites set to struggle in the final third if they remain with their current options.
The manager has had a good chance to look at his choices for the number 10 role in the 2-0 defeats against both Manchester United and Monaco, with more opportunities coming in the clashes with Nottingham Forest and Hearts.
But he may just want a new face in the squad for that position before the Championship season gets underway against Cardiff City on 6 August.
In other Leeds United news, one journalist has slammed a Whites player who “struggled” in the recent loss against Monaco.
