Daniel Farke storms off after what he saw in Leeds United win v Cardiff City
Daniel Farke stormed down the tunnel at half-time as Leeds United won 2-0 at Cardiff on Saturday, according to Adam Pope.
The BBC Radio Leeds broadcaster shared what he spotted via his personal X account on 21 September, saying that the German likely thought his side should have been out of sight earlier.
The Whites ended up winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Largie Ramazani and Joel Piroe but they could’ve had many more.
Pope shared his half-time thoughts on the game as Leeds were winning 1-0 against an “awful” Bluebirds team.
“[Leeds are] totally dominant against the 10 men of an awful Cardiff side,” Pope wrote.
“Ramazani with a superb finish but guilty of missing a better chance but he’s not alone.
“This should be out of sight and that’s probably why Farke stormed down the tunnel”.
Leeds United need to capitalise on their win v Cardiff City
Leeds have had a poor start to the 2024/25 championship season and will no doubt be looking to better their results as the season goes on.
After their strong summer transfer window, the West Yorkshire outfit were expected to easily come away with the title by the end of the term.
Despite Manor Solomon not travelling with the squad due to injury, Ramazani’s performance against the Bluebirds probably made Daniel Farke forget about his absence rather quickly.
With another Championship win under their belt, there’s no doubt that Farke and his men will want to ensure that this is the start of a new winning streak, rather than just a one-off performance.
Although they only managed to win 2-0, this could become a major turning point in the Whites’ season by the end of the term, even if players such as Ilia Gruev didn’t have the best of games.
This win could perhaps even take away some of the pressure that has been mounting upon the top of Farke’s head [Ben Jacobs, 21 September].
