Daniel Farke set for Leeds United manager talks this week after Sky Sports news emerges
Former Norwich City manager Daniel Farke is set for talks with Leeds United this week, boosting their chances of a swift promotion back to the Premier League this time next season.
The Daily Mail revealed on 6 June, that the Whites are currently sounding out some potential new replacements for Sam Allardyce after their dreadful relegation to the Premier League, ending their three-year English top-flight stint.
Leeds have been linked with several names as their search for a new appointment goes on, with former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard and West Brom coach and former Elland Road first team coach Carlos Corberan all currently targets for the vacant role.

However, a fresh new name has emerged in the frame which may well excite the Leeds United faithful as they look to ensure a swift return to the big time next season.
According to Sky Sports Germany [10 June], Farke is attracting interest from both Leeds and Scottish champions Celtic this summer, after his departure from German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
Sky Germany reveal that the German has already held initial talks with the Glasgow giants about replacing Ange Postecoglu before the new campaign.
However, talks between Leeds United and Farke have not yet taken place and are expected to take place this coming week, meaning it could happen within hours if the Whites start the week right.
Despite his failure to lead Gladbach to European places in the German Bundesliga, Farke still represents an attractive proposition for various clubs, and it’s no surprise he has emerged as a favourite for the Celtic role.
For that reason, Leeds United will be silly not to jump at the chance of acquiring a manager who has proven a Championship expert in recent seasons given his consummate ease at guiding Norwich seamlessly through the English second division.
It was when Norwich City got into the Premier League though, that Farke seemed to buckle at the crucial hurdle but there is a case to argue that the squad at his disposal plus the resources to boost the squad to be Premier League-ready wasn’t to his standards.
Leeds United have the potential to offer him a considerable war chest, with several key stars set to depart Elland Road and the new full takeover [BBC Sport, 10 June] of the club by the 49ers Enterprises.

It’s no secret that the Whites are desperate for an immediate return to the top-flight and Farke certainly represents their best solution to achieve that once again. The question is, whether they can convince the German coach to undertake another assault on a division he has mastered more than once already.
It’s a tough ask, but one Leeds United must desperately pursue in the coming weeks.
In other Leeds news, a Euro giant has been watching this Leeds starlet for a “long time” ahead of a potential £10m move.
