Daniel Farke reveals worrying Leeds truth from Thorp Arch ahead of Burnley showdown

Leeds could springboard themselves up the Premier League table on Saturday evening.

Daniel Farke’s team plays Burnley on 18 October, in what will prove to be a tough, but telling test against a fellow promoted side.

Despite the magnitude of the game, Leeds are still predicted to survive the drop, as Farke will be hoping to avoid Premier League relegation for a third time in his managerial career.

Farke does have help, as Noah Okafor has been brilliant for Leeds, and could again prove to be the difference maker against the Clarets.

Although Farke’s recent admission for the Burnley game has not filled anyone in a Leeds perspective with a great load of confidence.

Daniel Farke admits Leeds will make very “late” team decision

Leeds already have several players ruled out with injury for the game against Burnley, as the international break has most definitely come at a horrible time before such an important game.

Farke has admitted that due to the international break, Leeds have not had much time at all to prepare for the Burnley game, as the Whites temporarily lost a whopping total of nine players.

Leeds’ last three games vs Burnley:

“Today was the first time we had all the players back together. Tricky to prepare, but we are used to it.

“We will take some late decisions due to flights, hits and knocks. Pick the team late after final session tomorrow,” as reported by Beren Cross.

Leeds face some obstacles for the game on Saturday, but if they were to walk away with three points, they would be doing themselves the world of good.

Leeds could make a statement in beating Burnley at Turf Moor

Burnley were known last campaign for having a staggering defensive record, especially at home with 15 clean sheets during the 2024-25 season.

Leeds currently sit on eight points, four points better than Burnley’s tally, as the Whites have made a btter start in either sides quest for Premier League survival this season.

A win would put Leeds further clear of the Clarets, and put Farke’s side in a serious conversation for staying up.

Not only that, but it would be a great starting point for a busy batch of fixtures coming up for Leeds, in games they could then go into full of confidence.
