Daniel Farke provides Jayden Bogle injury update after Leeds United v Hull City
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has provided a fresh injury update on defender Jayden Bogle after the 2-0 win against Hull City on Saturday [31 August].
The 24-year-old was in clear discomfort in the final 10 minutes of the clash at Elland Road and was replaced by Sam Byram for the closing stages.
Farke has eased concerns that Bogle will face a spell on the sidelines when speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post [1 September] and revealed the reason behind the substitution.
He said: “No, just some cramps. It was also an intense game, he had to sprint a lot. We know how difficult it is also to defend Millar all the time.
“We had an experience even last season, although Archie was shining in many games, he had some problems also against him and I was pleased then to be able to bring Sam Byram in with his experience and it’s still important also to have him fit and available.”
Leeds United will have Jayden Bogle available for the next match
Bogle, a summer signing from Sheffield United, has endured his fair share of criticism at Elland Road only four fixtures into the 2024/25 season.
The defender is one of two full-backs signed by Farke this summer alongside Isaac Schmidt, with Archie Gray having been sold to Tottenham and Connor Roberts’ loan expired from Burnley.
His availability will come as a relief for Farke, the right-back has been a regular feature for the Whites this season and will be expected to keep his place in the position throughout the campaign.

After a slow start, with two draws in the opening two Championship fixtures and a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough at Elland Road in the Carabao Cup, Leeds have gotten their title aspirations back on track with two consecutive league wins.
Bogle could become a key player for Leeds this season, he has experience playing regular football for a promoted side in Sheffield United and in the Premier League to add to the brimming amount of top-flight experience at the club.
With Junior Firpo and Schmidt capable of playing on either side of the defence, he needs to be at his best this season to keep his place in Farke’s starting eleven.
