Daniel Farke offers Leeds United transfer update ahead of January
Daniel Farke says he is not looking at transfer decisions at Leeds United until the New Year, with his club having no pressure to sell in January.
The Whites find themselves in a good place at the near halfway point of the season as they sit second in the table, three points away from Sheffield United in the top spot.
However, there is plenty of football left to be played between now and the end of the campaign meaning the January transfer window will be crucial for the West Yorkshire outfit.
As well as strengthening their side, keeping their key players will be key for Farke, with the likes of Pascal Struijk linked with a move away.
However, the German boss feels his side are in a good position as he revealed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Oxford United clash [quoted via Leeds Live]: “I want all our players to be focused on us right now. If we need to rotate, we need all our players.
“We can speak after January 4, when we have a break in the games. That is when we talk about January. Until then, there will be no decisions made. We need to focus on the games.
“No financial pressure to sell next month. We raised more money than any club in Western Europe in the summer. There is a moment when you have to sell after spending or overspending in the years before.
“It’s crucial for the long-term picture to do this, but it is not good for the short-term. Overall beneficial. We are a healthy club financially. No pressure to do anything.”
Leeds United in a strong position in the January transfer window
There is plenty of speculation surrounding Leeds going into the January transfer window which is to be expected as Farke’s side are sitting at the top end of the Championship table seeking promotion.
The last thing the Whites need is to lose any key players that they can’t replace heading into the second-half of the season as they look to keep their momentum up.
However, Leeds fans will feel some relief as it seems as it seems as though their manager is quite calm going into the decisive period.

Naturally, he won’t want any players getting distracted with plenty of games coming up before the start of 2025 although it’s unlikely that any key players will be too unhappy at Elland Road given their impressive campaign up to this point.
What is also a boost though is the good position that the Whites are in financially which means they are free from any pressure to make moves that could harm their campaign.
