Daniel Farke was angry with Wilfried Gnonto after the Leeds United forward failed to track back against Watford, according to Beren Cross.

The Leeds Live journalist reported for the online outlet on 23 October that the Whites' manager was left "incensed" with the Italy international in the 2-1 win at Elland Road on Tuesday (22 October).

The 20-year-old didn't stay with his man and, despite not resulting in a chance, failed to cut out a simple pass which resulted in Farke voicing his anger with the winger.

Gnonto has been one of the key players for Leeds this season, contributing to two goals and four assists across his opening 11 appearances.

This is a positive return but it is safe to say that his manager isn't bothered about that output if his defensive work takes a dive.

Farke's players have to work together to form a solid and difficult side to play against, which is the base to everything good that the Whites will do.

Luckily for the Italian, his lazy defensive work wasn't punished and a victory was secured at Elland Road to send Leeds second in the Championship.

This is an excellent position at this stage in the campaign, but players like Gnonto can't become complacent now and forget their duties to the side.

With six games unbeaten, it looks like the Whites have found their stride and Farke will hope that this form can continue even if certain moments clearly frustrate him.
