Daniel Farke in tense relationship with big-money Leeds United star after what he did

Daniel Farke’s relationship with one particular Leeds United player is said to be weakening as time goes on after a recent decision.

When it comes to team connection, there has been plenty of it this season with Leeds looking destined for a return to the Premier League.

A 3-1 victory away to Sheffield United saw the Whites take a huge leap forward in the promotion race and it seems only a matter of time until their position in the English top flight is confirmed.

Throughout that success relationships between players and manager have been crucial and Farke has certainly built very strong ones with the overwhelming majority of the squad, though concerns are emerging over one in particular.

Leeds relationship on the brink

Off the back of Leeds’ relegation to the Championship two seasons ago, several players departed Elland Road and Max Wober was one of them.

The Austrian international opted against dropping into the second division in favour of a loan move to Farke’s ex-club Borrusia Monchengladbach.

Since returning to Elland Road, Wober has made just six appearances with injuries preventing him from making any real progress.

However, according to a report from Peter Linden (25 February), Farke has refused to drop the frustration he had from Wober making that decision.

The report adds that the relationship between the Leeds duo is “tense” and “unlikely to improve” which leaves question marks over his future.

Wober’s future looks bleak at Leeds

Quite frankly, as soon as there’s some unrest between a player and a manager, very seldom does that relationship rebuild over time.

It typically ends in a departure for said player which certainly appears to be the route that both Wober and Leeds will be going down.

With promotion almost nailed on for Leeds, some serious decisions will need to be made in the summer and having an injury-prone defender who opted to jump ship at the first opportunity isn’t something that will aid their hopes of survival.
