Daniel Farke heavily involved as behind-the-scenes update emerges on Leeds United transfer meetings
Daniel Farke is reportedly heavily involved in the Leeds United transfer meetings this summer, more so than any manager recently.
According to Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth [14 July], he isn’t just nodding and listening, but bringing his own ideas to the table.
Thus far, the Whites have not completed a first-team signing, even though they’ve been linked with an array of players.

Assertive
It’s good to see the German taking the initiative in transfer activities and not letting someone in charge suggest targets.
Managers usually have the final veto on transfers and by the looks of it, former Leeds ones were waiting on Victor Orta or whoever the sporting director was to offer options.
However, Farke looks to be the one driving the recruitment and then it’s on the hierarchy and analysts to see who can fit the bill and in what manner.

That’s precisely how things should be at Elland Road as too often the board’s made poor signings and left the manager to face criticism for it.
They need to up the ante in terms of getting deals over the line as they’ve not done enough apart from touch base with the agents of a few players.
Liverpool’s Nat Phillips appears to be the main target in central defence and perhaps they will be looking at a new striker as well.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
