Daniel Farke has ‘no room’ for Manor Solomon at Leeds United ahead of clash v Millwall

Daniel Farke has “no room” for Manor Solomon in his Leeds United starting XI at this moment in time, according to Beren Cross.

The 25-year-old hasn’t started for the Whites since their 1-0 defeat to Burnley in September and has had to settle for a place on the bench since returning from injury after the October international break.

Although Farke’s options out wide are once again limited with Largie Ramazani stuck on the treatment table, Leeds Live journalist Cross believes Solomon is still unlikely to return to the starting XI against Millwall.

Speaking on The Square Ball podcast (4 November, 18:20) he said: “I think Joseph and Solomon are the only ones you look at on the bench and think they have the quality to start.

“As it stands, there is no room for Solomon on the wings and as you say, if Piroe plays like that there’s no reason to take him out as it stands.”

What has happened to Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon at Leeds United and Elland Road?

When Solomon arrived at Elland Road this summer, most pundits and supporters expected him to be one of the signings of the transfer window.

The Spurs loanee was expected to hit the ground running in the Championship having previously impressed in the Premier League with both Fulham and Tottenham when he wasn’t struggling with injury.

But through a combination of fitness issues and poor form, the Isreal international hasn’t managed to hit the heights expected of him in Leeds United colours and has therefore fallen down the pecking order at Elland Road.

While Dan James and Willy Gnonto are thriving out wide, it is hard to see how the Spurs loanee can force his way back into the fold and that task will only become harder when Ramazani is once again fit and available.

Hopefully, there is more to come from Solomon at Leeds otherwise there is every chance his loan could be cut short before it even really gets going.
