Daniel Farke emerges as ‘strong candidate’ for Leeds United job amid growing Elland Road feeling
Daniel Farke has emerged as a “strong candidate” to take the vacant Leeds United job, according to CBS journalist, Ben Jacobs.
The Guardian reported on 15 June that the German was on a three-man shortlist for the job at Elland Road, along with Scott Parker and Carlos Corberan.
Talking to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs believes that “momentum” surrounding the 46-year-old is growing.

“I think that we have to be cautious about the amount of names that are being linked with Leeds United, at this point, because the new owners have explored and will continue to explore more than one candidate,” he said (15 June)
“But there is certainly a growing feeling that Daniel Farke could be a serious candidate for Leeds United.
“I think that he would be a very smart appointment in many ways, and somebody that would stand a very realistic chance of getting them straight back up into the Premier League.
“Daniel Farke is growing momentum and could be a strong fit.”
Clever
Farke would, without a doubt, be a clever appointment.
He has tasted success in the Championship before and was perhaps unfairly treated at Norwich.
The Canaries were fairly open and honest about their business plan. They looked to assemble a squad that was far too good for the second tier but clearly not up to Premier League standard.
Farke was always going to struggle when it came to keeping them in the Premier League. Luckily for Leeds, that’s not what he will be brought in to do.

The first and primary thought has to be promotion – and an immediate return at that. The German knows exactly what is needed to get out of the second tier.
If he could repeat the trick at Elland Road, he will be lauded. At present, he probably looks like the most sensible appointment.
Carlos Corberan is out of the Marcelo Bielsa handbook and the board will potentially be looking to move on from those glory days.
Scott Parker has also been extremely successful but would split opinions amongst the fan base.
In other Leeds news, the 49ers could be set to land a jackpot within a matter of weeks.
