Daniel Farke drops new Leeds United injury update ahead of showdown v QPR

Daniel Farke has confirmed Leeds United have not picked up any major injuries ahead of their clash with Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites welcome Marti Cifuentes’s side to Elland Road on Saturday (9 November) as they look to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Millwall last time out.

Although Farke admits he will wait before deciding if he will mix up his starting XI against QPR, the Whites boss insists his side picked up nothing more serious than a few bruises in their defeat at The Den.

Speaking in his press conference as shared by Leeds Live (7 November) he said: “Seems like most of the players came through without major injuries. Some knocks and tired legs as with every game.

“Quick turnaround. I spoke about being back in the early hours. Wait a little to see how they will recover over the 48 hours to be ready again. Some late decisions on mixing it up or not.”

What has happened to Leeds United boss Daniel Farke at Elland Road?

While Leeds United will have been incredibly disappointed with their performance and result at The Den on Wednesday (6 November) they have at least managed to come away from the defeat unscathed.

Farke and his coaching team have already had to deal with several injury concerns this season and their options, particularly in midfield, have become incredibly limited heading into the November international break.

Of course, it is a shame that the likes of Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu are not yet ready to return to the fold against Cifuentes’ side on Saturday, but the Whites should have more than enough quality to claim all three points.

QPR have had a miserable start to the season and currently sit second bottom of the Championship. If Leeds are serious about pushing for an automatic promotion place this season, this is a game that they simply have to win.

Hopefully, Farke’s side will find a way to claim all three points and head into the international break on a high.
