Daniel Farke credited for decision taken on Brenden Aaronson at Leeds United
Carlton Palmer believes it was a “good call” by Leeds United and Daniel Farke to bring Brenden Aaronson back into the fold this season.
Aaronson, an American international, joined Leeds for their Premier League campaign but disappointed given his price tag and went out on loan last season.
After failing to achieve promotion last season, Leeds made the decision to bring Aaronson back into the fold and he has thrived under Farke this campaign, with Palmer praising the impact he has had.
Speaking with Football League Word [24 October], Palmer said: “One of those players who’s having a resurgence under Farke is Brenden Aaronson.
“I think it’s the biggest storyline in the Championship this season. He’s now got three goals and an assist in 11 matches for Leeds United.”
“Credit to Daniel Farke for keeping him in the mix and not offloading him in the summer. It’s now looking a good call for Leeds United.”
“He’s needed players like Brenden to step up to the plate, given the long-term injuries.”
Brenden Aaronson could be crucial to Leeds United promotion hopes
The USMNT regular has impressed throughout the current Championship campaign and his goal against Watford was a testament to the development he has made since initially joining the club.
Granted, it wasn’t the hardest finish he has ever been faced with but he was in the right place at the right time and that is crucial in games.
It ultimately proved to be the winning goal in the game after what was an underwhelming performance overall for Leeds.

Farke will need players such as Aaronson to maintain their consistency to keep up with the evergrowing standard of the Championship.
Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani have both also impressed this season and keeping the trio fit and firing could be pivotal to their ambitions of achieving automatic promotion.
That, added to the importance of the upcoming January window, will be the key to success for Farke and Leeds.
