Daniel Farke arrival at Leeds United leads to triple behind-the-scenes Elland Road exit
Daniel Farke’s arrival at Leeds United has already seen three behind-the-scenes departures at Elland Road as his coaching staff joins the club.
Phil Hay wrote in the Athletic that Marcos Abad had left the club in what was the first exit post the German’s announcement while a first-team analyst confirmed his departure too.
LUFC Youth’s Twitter handle then revealed that under-21s manager Paco Gallardo has also been shown the door.
They wrote, “U21 manager Paco Gallardo has left his role with the academy
“Good luck, Paco!”
Farewell
Gallardo didn’t even last a year at Elland Road and he’s already been made redundant with changes afoot at the club.
It was expected that once the new manager arrives, there will be coaches that will be shown the door.
However, it’s been less than 24 hours and there have already been two major exits behind the scenes.

It remains to be seen what Farke’s plan is and how much say will he have over who Gallardo’s replacement will be.
The German may have his own ideas on how to handle the under-21s side and whether or not he treats it like an extension of the first team like Marcelo Bielsa did.
He’s got the reputation of a promotion getter and that’s precisely why he’s been given the Leeds job this summer.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
