Daniel Farke admits Leeds United are ‘not the finished product’ despite being on ‘right path’ with 49ers
Daniel Farke has admitted that Leeds United are “not the finished product” but believes that 49ers Enterprises have put the club on the right path.
The 49ers took over full ownership of the Whites in the summer when they acquired Andrea Radrizzani’s stake in the club and oversaw the appointment of Farke as manager, as well as the intense summer overhaul of the playing squad following relegation.
While other clubs in the Championship, such as Sheffield Wednesday have suffered from turmoil behind the scenes, Farke was quick to praise the work of the Leeds United owners, while also admitting that there is still work to be done in the future.

As quoted by Leeds Live (2 November) he said: “You have to work step to step to achieve stability and at Leeds for example we’re on the right path and the moment and where we’re heading. Everyone is on the same page.
“We’re not the finished product but our process is quite good. Until we can be really happy and proud of ourselves and think ‘Okay we’re in a really good position’ we need lots of work behind the scenes and many, many areas where we want and need to improve.
“My feeling is we’re definitely on the right path.”
Right path
Nobody expected the 49ers, of Farke, to arrive at Elland Road with a magic wand to fix all of the issues throughout the club, but it does appear as though the new owners and the German are completely aligned in their vision and plan for the Whites.
To build a team and club ready for promotion to the Premier League, every aspect of the football club has to be singing from the same hymn sheet, otherwise, mistakes will be made along the process, whether that be in recruitment or finances.

It felt as though during Marcelo Bielsa’s tenure, every aspect of the football club was set up to ensure that the team were equipped to thrive in Argentine’s style and while Farke is a much more laid-back character, his team seems to be similarly moulded to his exact image.
There may well still be work to be done as the season continues and both Farke and the 49ers continue to find their feet in their new roles with Leeds, but the German knows a thing or two about what it takes to be promoted from the Championship and if the Whites are following his lead, they’re in with a shot.
In other Leeds United news, Farke believes that even more can come from Glen Kamara at Elland Road after his “quality” start
