Dan James makes new Leeds United injury admission, ‘Gutted’
Dan James has revealed that he was gutted to miss games for Leeds United through injury but now feels fully fit.
The Wales international has missed six games so far this season through injury but has started three of the Whites’ last six matches.
The 27-year-old is now joining up with his national side and has opened up, as shared by Adam Pope via X (12 November), on his feelings about his recent absence.
He said: “Sometimes as a footballer, you go through stages of game after game. I’ve had that in early parts of my career where you’re not really concentrating on what you need to do you’re just playing games day to day.
“I think sometimes you can reflect on it. I was gutted to be out. A small injury turned into a longer injury. I felt like I started the season well. I was gutted to be taken off that rhythm. I feel fully fit now & raring to go.”
Dan James shares injury update at Leeds United
The Welshman hasn’t had the dream start to the Championship campaign after picking up an injury which ruled him out of multiple games earlier in the season.
It appears that Daniel Farke is slowly reintroducing him into the starting XI so as not to aggravate any issue that the winger may have.
This has been easy for the Whites’ boss given the quality that his side possesses in forward and wide areas.
The likes of Largie Ramazani and Wilfried Gnonto have had positive starts to the season which have made James’ absence less of a blow.
Now that the ex-Manchester United man is returning to full fitness and is “raring to go”, supporters will be hoping to see his best moving forward.
There is no doubt that the wide man possesses quality, which could prove to be the difference between automatic promotion and another playoff campaign.
It will be interesting to see if James can become a star man at Elland Road now he’s fully fit.
