Crysencio Summerville wants Leeds United chance after ‘my turn’ post

Leeds United young winger Crysencio Summerville has taken to social media after scoring a brilliant hat-trick for the Under-23s on Monday.

The 20-year-old Dutch youth international led the Whites youngsters to a convincing 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace with three well-taken goals of his own and now he wants more.

Summerville posted on his Instagram after the game with a message in the caption perhaps aimed towards first-team boss Jesse Marsch.

He simply wrote: “This chapter of my life is called ‘My Turn'” as the caption to his photo of him celebrating at Elland Road which could suggest that he is angling for senior football now.

He does have a handful of games under his belt during the previous regime of Marcelo Bielsa but he is yet to make his first appearance under the new American coach.

Substitute minimum

At 20 years of age, Summerville is at the stage in his career where he can’t get any better playing academy football.

If Marsch has no plans to use him next season, whether as a regular starter or even a backup, then he simply must let him leave the club, hopefully on loan, for his own good.

The Dutchman was determined to leave in January with Hamburg the destination most likely but Bielsa refused to let him go due to the small squad he had built [Hamburger Morgenpost].

The topic will undoubtedly come up again when the summer transfer window opens and this has to be the time when he either makes the step up to the Whites’ senior team or he’s sold so he can begin his career elsewhere.

Given the hat-trick he scored on Monday, we have to hope that it’s the former and not the latter because he clearly has a lot of ability and knowing Leeds United, he will come back to bite us where it hurts one day if we choose to let him go.

In other Leeds United news, this flop is due to return to LS11 after failing at his loaned club, we’ll miss out on £8million as a result.
