Crysencio Summerville stunned by Archie Gray in new Leeds United message
Crysencio Summerville has been left stunned by Leeds United star Archie Gray, in a new message to the 17-year-old following the Whites’ win over Middlesbrough.
Daniel Farke’s side ran out 3-2 winners at Elland Road on Saturday (2 December) thanks to first-half goals from Dan James, Summerville and Joel Piroe to ensure that the Whites remain third in the Championship in the race for promotion.
Gray started at right-back once again for Leeds and impressed as he played the full 90 minutes against Michael Carrick’s side and the teenager’s performance earned plenty of plaudits from supporters and even his teammates.

Summerville was quick to reply to Gray’s Instagram post from the game against Middlesbrough (3 December) commenting only: “The best”.
The best
Leeds United supporters must have to pinch themselves whenever they see Gray performing so well for Farke’s side this season, as the 17-year-old has taken to Championship football like a duck to water and doesn’t look at all out of place in England’s second-tier.
Considering the teenager is a central midfielder by trade, he has excelled when deployed at fullback and the exact same was true against Middlesbrough. Gray completed 93 per cent of his 46 passes, won seven of his 11 duels and came away with the ball in both of his attempted tackles [Fotmob].
Gray has managed to keep Luke Ayling out of the side consistently which is impressive considering the veteran has plenty of experience both in the Premier League and the Championship and now it looks as though he will make it hard for Djed Spence to start matches now that he has returned from injury.

It is hard to label the 17-year-old as anything other than the best as currently there are few brighter prospects not just at Elland Road but in the Championship than Gray. On top of that, Summerville has managed to go from strength to strength this season.
The Dutchman scored his eighth goal of the campaign against Middlesbrough and has already registered six assists as well. The 22-year-old has been excellent this season and could well be the man to fire the Whites back to the Premier League if he continues this recent form.
