Crysencio Summerville sends new message to Willy Gnonto at Leeds United
Crysencio Summerville has sent a message to Wilfried Gnonto after the 20-year-old featured for Leeds United against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday (23 August).
Gnonto started as the Whites ran out 2-0 winners at Hillsborough Stadium.
Following the victory, the Italian took to his personal Instagram account on Saturday (24 August) and posted some shots of him in action against the Owls.
And among the comments was Gnonto’s former Leeds teammate Summerville, who wrote, “My boy”.

Losing Summerville was a big blow for Daniel Farke and the Whites.
The Dutch forward was last year’s Championship Player of the Season and a key figure at Elland Road. Therefore, replacing him was never going to be a straightforward task.
However, if the club can keep hold of Summerville’s former teammate and friend Gnonto, then that would definitely soften the blow of losing the 22-year-old to West Ham United.
It is clear that Summerville and Gnonto have maintained a close relationship. As a result, supporters will be hoping that Summerville hasn’t been talking up a potential move away from Elland Road to Gnonto.

As reported by Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross via X on Monday (19 August), the Whites expect Gnonto to remain at Elland Road beyond the transfer deadline.
As a result, supporters will be optimistic that they can keep hold of Gnonto, who will no doubt be a key player in any promotion charge this season.
In other Leeds United news, a brand-new transfer is set to be completed on Sunday 25 August.
