Crysencio Summerville reacts to wild Leeds United scenes from bus parade

Leeds United celebrated their Championship title in style with a bus parade in the city on Monday, and some incredible scenes followed.

Daniel Farke’s side won the Championship in the final minutes of the season as they secured 100 points following their promotion.

Leeds will compete in the Premier League next season for the first time since they were relegated in 2023, and their squad looks vastly different now.

Cryscencio Summerville was part of the squad that was relegated, but he joined West Ham last summer. However, he has reacted to the celebrations from his former club.

Summerville sends message to Pascal Struijk after Leeds parade

Leeds defender Pascal Struijk was a key figure for the Whites this season, and he was a happy figure on the bus during the celebration parade.

The Leeds vice-captain celebrated in style, on a day in which his fellow stars, Ethan Ampadu and Junior Firpo, may have got carried away.

Struijk took to Instagram to express his delight at how Leeds’ season panned out, posting after the parade on Monday, May 5.

“I really enjoyed the view on my way to work today,” Struijk posted alongside a picture with the Championship trophy.

Summerville responded to his post, commenting “My guy” on Struijk’s profile, with the pair previously playing together for Leeds.

Struijk finally celebrates Leeds promotion

Struijk ended the season with an injury, which meant he could not celebrate immediately on the pitch as they achieved promotion to the Premier League and later the Championship title.

The Dutchman has been a vital figure for Farke when fit, and he has missed large chunks of the past two seasons while fighting for promotion.

It was also a gutting period for the defender, who had to watch from the sidelines as Leeds thrashed Stoke 6-0 to secure their ticket back to the Premier League, and also beat Plymouth Argyle in the final minutes to pip Burnley to the title.

However, Struijk certainly enjoyed his day out at the parade and will be gearing up for the challenge of the Premier League next season, something he has experienced before at Elland Road.
