Crysencio Summerville injury ‘not serious’ for Leeds United, four weeks out
Leeds United have found out the extent of Crysencio Summerville’s injury and it is better news than first feared, according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue.
The 20-year-old has sustained an ankle injury and it will keep the Dutch youth international out of action for the rest of this season but his time of recovery is much shorter than first thought.
Donnohue shared the news via his personal Twitter account and it will be something to smile about for Whites supporters.
“Crysencio Summerville’s ankle injury is not serious. Expected to be out for four weeks,” he said. “Won’t impact pre-season and should be available for Netherlands U21s’ fixtures in June.”
There is a possibility that he has now played his last game for Leeds United too with both Hamburg [Hamburger Morgenpost] and Rangers [Daily Mail] interested in his signature.

This injury has probably ended his time at Elland Toad and it is a great shame because he has all the elements to his game to be a success.
Certain circumstances with Marcelo Bielsa not letting him leave in January won’t help his desire to stay in Yorkshire and with Marsch not selecting him either prior to this season-ending injury, why would he stay?

It is a conversation he will definitely have with the club and the manager to work out what he’s going to do next but it would be a very big surprise if he were still a Leeds player next season.
He will have been less than pleased to see the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood become semi-regular features in the first team while he has had to sit on the sidelines and play Under-23s football in the meantime.
If he isn’t going to be a starter next season, which looks highly unlikely, then Victor Orta needs to cash in now and let him find his love for football again.
In other Leeds United news, Robbie Savage thinks there is still a possibility this may happen to the Whites this season.
