Crysencio Summerville has repaid Jesse Marsch faith with ‘brilliant’ Leeds United form – Youth Expert

Crysenscio Summerville should be thanking Jesse Marsch for giving him a chance in the first team after becoming a Leeds United sensation.

The 21-year-old scored four goals in four matches at the end of the first portion of the Premier League season, including a dramatic late winner away at Liverpool.

Marsch opted to give him a chance from the start after Luis Sinisterra suffered an injury at Elland Road and the Dutchman has managed to repay the American’s faith in him.

Harry Hudson, an expert in youth football and founder of the Kinetic Academy, has been amazed at Summerville’s sudden emergence in the senior side and believes he could help keep the Whites in the top flight.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News reporter Joe Ellis, Hudson said: “Leeds are just a great watch. As a neutral, they are one of my favourite teams to watch.

“He (Summerville) looks really quick and really direct. Some of his finishes have been really, really high quality. It’s good to see the manager has given him the trust and he has certainly repaid that.

“There are a couple of other kids at Leeds who I like the look of but fair play to him, he’s come in and done brilliant. When someone is as quick, direct and powerful as he is, he’s always going to cause problems.

“If he has a good second half of the season and keeps Leeds up, you never know where that might lead to.”

Despite his impressive Leeds United form, Louis van Gaal chose not to include Summerville in the Dutch World Cup squad and compatriot Pascal Struijk was also left at home rather than taken to Qatar.

In other Leeds United news, this rock-solid defender was not seen in training on Wednesday (7 December) as injury fears set in.
