Cross: Alioski agent talking to clubs over 'lucrative' contract

Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross has said that Dino Lamberti, the agent of Gjanni Alioksi, is currently talking to clubs around Europe over a move for the player.

Alioski’s contract is up in the summer and the current thinking is that he’s going to leave Leeds.

Writing on Leeds Live Cross said, “His agent Dino Lamberti has been around Europe speaking to parties interested in the 29-year-old’s services, especially on a free transfer.

“Given those clubs will not have to pay Leeds a penny, they can plough all available funds into a highly attractive, lucrative wage package for Alioski.

“The former Lugano man knows his next contract should be the best-paid of his short career and, naturally, wants to secure his family’s long-term future.”

Hero’s farewell

The really good news about Alioski is that talk of him moving to Galatasaray has gone very quiet.

When a report broke that he had signed a pre-contract deal with the Turkish club there was a huge backlash on social media.

Leeds fans were understandably up in arms at the prospect of him going to the club given the history.

Thankfully, that looks decidedly wide of the mark now, and it means that Alioski’s legacy at Leeds will be intact when he goes. And it does look like he will be leaving.

The other bit of good news about Alioski is that he will get the chance to have a send-off from the fans in the last game of the season against West Brom.

Elland Road won’t be at full capacity but there will be fans there and we’re sure they’ll make a huge amount of noise for a player who’s always given his all for the club.
