Confirmed: Tottenham set to welcome back two attackers for Leeds clash
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Tottenham could welcome back Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius for the Premier League clash against Leeds United.
The Brazilian duo were both classed as doubts for the game, but after the game against Fulham was postponed on Wednesday, the have been given more rest.
Mourinho did share that Gareth Bale and Giovani Lo Celso will both miss the game, leaving the hosts with a weaker bench.
Speaking to the media on Friday afternoon, Mourinho confirmed that it is two out and two to return for the Saturday clash.
“You know that in this moment, you go day by day,” he said.
“In relation to the previous matches, Lucas and Vinicius should be back, and Bale and Gio, they are still out with their injuries.”
This will give Spurs a much better bench against Leeds.
Neither of these two would have started the game, with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son two of the Premier League’s most-feared attackers.
Lucas could make a real difference off the bench with his pace and flair enough to cause anyone problems in this division late on in games.
The 28-year-old started the season in fine form before injury, having three shots and completing two key dribbles against Newcastle before dropping down to the bench.
Spurs have had a long rest before this game, and it has allowed them to welcome back some players – we hope they have no say on the outcome.
