Confirmed: Leeds United will learn their Premier League fixture list on Thursday
Leeds United are three weeks away from starting their 20/21 Premier League season.
The Whites cruised to the Championship title last season, and will finally end their 16-year absence from the top-flight in September.
The Premier League has confirmed that it will get underway on the 12th of September, with excitement levels growing every single day.
It has also been revealed that the fixtures will be released no later than Friday the 21st of August.
We will not have long to wait then, and it has now been confirmed that the fixture list will now be released on Thursday morning at 9 am.
The Daily Mail has reported that both Manchester United and Manchester City will not play on the opening weekend to gain extra rest after their European clashes this month.
Any hints on who Leeds could play?
There has been one supposed leak on Twitter. Eagle-eyed fans had noticed that the Fantasy Football site had shared the opening day fixtures.
One fan had selected Stuart Dallas in his defence – not a bad choice.
But on closer viewing, Leeds fans noticed that their opening day clash was shared as Newcastle United at Elland Road.
That is a game that most fans would take, with there surely being a hope that the so-called bigger teams aren’t coming to Elland Road until later in the season when the stadium could be somewhat filled.
In other Leeds United news, many Whites fans have reacted to an official club announcement on Wednesday
