Confirmed Leeds United team news in FA Cup fith-round encounter v Fulham

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for their FA Cup fifth-round showdown with Fulham on Tuesday 28 February.

Javi Gracia will take charge of his second game for the Whites after his work permit issues were finally resolved this weekend ahead of their crucial 1-0 win over Southampton.

As confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Whites have made four changes from the win at Southampton with Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Georginio Rutter and Crycensio Summerville starting from the off against Fulham.

Fan-favourite Patrick Bamford is the pick of the players axed from the starting XI, after recent poor form. Rutter will be handed a chance to stake a claim for a starting spot.

Continue momentum

The Whites take a midweek break from Premier League action when they take on a resurgent and in-form Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night, as Gracia aims to continue the club’s momentum following their superb win over Southampton on Saturday.

A fairytale FA Cup run can certainly do so much in boosting club morale and the player’s confidence in what’s been a dreadful campaign for the Whites fans up until Saturday.

Leeds United

Before the Southampton encounter, the Whites had not tasted a win since early November, but Saturday’s much-needed result crucially took them out of the relegation spots.

Ahead of another testing fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Gracia will be hoping a positive result in West London could well be a springboard in causing a major shock against a torrid and struggling Graham Potter team.

Can the Whites continue their momentum this evening?
