The Leeds United Under-23s provide the entertainment this afternoon as they continue their title-winning celebrations at Thorp Arch.
Mark Jackson’s side are hosting Burnley in a 1pm kick-off and he has announced a very strong starting XI for the final game of a brilliant campaign.
Rodrigo, Gaetano Berardi and Kiko Casilla all start, with Jamie Shackleton on the bench.
The team (as per the Yorkshire Evening Post) is: Casilla, Drameh, Davis, Casey, Cresswell, Berardi, Huggins, Jenkins, Rodrigo, Greenwood, McCarron.
Subs: Caprile, Kamwa, McKinstry, Summerville, Shackleton.
It means that Joe Gelhardt is still injured.
Burnley have it all to play for and could still make the promotion play-offs if they get a win against Leeds.
Leeds won the reverse fixture 4-1 with a hat-trick from Crynsencio Summerville and one from Sam Greenwood.
Watch the game for free
Leeds United are still in the middle of an ongoing social media boycott so you won’t be able to watch the game on Twitter or YouTube like normal.
You can still watch the game for free, though, and it’s being streamed live on LUTV here.
Hopefully, the Under-23s can put in a better performance than the senior side did on Saturday when they lost 2-0 to Brighton in a hugely disappointing performance.
With Patrick Bamford blanking again (that’s five in a row) and other players under-performing, some of the more senior Under-23s starts will be thinking they’ve got a good chance of stepping up and making their first-team debuts.
Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood (and maybe even Crysencio Summerville), we’re looking at you.
