‘Coming back’ – Lucas Radebe sends Twitter message to Leeds fans
Former Leeds United player Lucas Radebe has sent a Twitter message to fans on Tuesday morning predicting the glory days are “coming back” to Elland Road.
Radebe, who played for Leeds for 11 years before retiring in 2005, has kept close links with the club and the fans, who still absolutely adore him.
Radebe tweeted on Tuesday, “Glory days are coming back @LUFC #MOT. What a fantastic atmosphere we are going up”.
More positivity please
It’s great to see positivity like this on Twitter after it all got a bit toxic after the Wigan and Nottingham Forest defeats.
Leeds got themselves back on track against Brentford, even though they didn’t get all three points, and put in a storming display against Bristol City on Saturday that was more like what we saw at the start of the season.
That’s put the buffer to third back in place and given Leeds a platform to kick on and win automatic promotion.
Through all of this, though, the fans at Elland Road have been in incredible voice and the atmosphere at Leeds games is unrivalled anywhere else in the Championship. In fact, Elland Road puts a lot of Premier League grounds to shame.
Another win against Reading on Saturday will get the promotion charge firmly back on and could see Leeds fans coming up with similar messages to Radebe’s on Twitter.
Okay, that might be pushing it, but stranger things have happened…
