Cody Drameh sends Instagram message to Leeds teammate after double announcement

Leeds United confirmed the signing of defender Cody Drameh from Fulham this week.

The young right-back is expected to join up with the first-team and has already shared his excitement to work with Marcelo Bielsa at Thorp Arch.

Drameh appears to have settled in perfectly too. Fellow youngster Cole Gibbon signed his first professional contract with the club only days later, and the defender was one of the first to send his new teammate a message.

Gibbon shared a post on his personal Instagram account on Friday, and Drameh sent him a one-word message.

“Congratulations,” he wrote with a couple of emojis.

Drameh will be thrown into the thick of the action at Thorp Arch, with a pre-season under Bielsa one of the hardest in world football.

The 18-year-old deleted all posts on his personal Instagram account before joining Leeds and made his first new post announcing his move to Elland Road – a fresh start perhaps.

What can Leeds fans look forward too with Drameh? The young full-back has been likened to Liverpool sensation Trent Alexander-Arnold before because of his love for getting forward.

He did deliver seven assists in 17 games in the Premier League 2 last season, something which backs up those claims.

The 18-year-old did admit he may need to improve his attacking play under Bielsa, and that could see him become even better than TAA – we cross our fingers.
