Clive Tyldesley lambasts Leeds United star Ezgjan Alioski on ITV
Clive Tyldesley has slammed Leeds United defender Ezgjan Alioski for a challenge he made for North Macedonia at Euro 2020.
The 29-year-old has been on international duty in the past few weeks, playing against the likes of Austria and Ukraine in their Group C fixtures.
During the final fixture against the Netherlands on Monday evening [21/06/21], ITV commentator took aim at Alioski for a foul he made on Ukraine forward Marko Arnautovic on June 13.
“That was very. very loose from Alioski,” Tyldesley said after the Whites full-back lost possession against the Netherlands.
“He’s had an interesting tournament, the Leeds man. He scored against Ukraine, his penalty was saved and then he hooked in the rebound.
“He was guilty of an awful yellow-card challenge in the Austria game on Marko Arnautovic, and they have conceded a few goals in his area.”

Alioski certainly can’t be accused of letting games drift by him.
The 2017 signing from Swiss side Lugano is always in the thick of the action, whether it’s in defence or attack.
Naturally a winger, he has become accustomed to a deeper role under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, playing most of his minutes at left-back.
He plays slightly further forwards for North Macedonia as a left wing-back, though his national side are often forced to defend deeper.
Yellow cards are the name of the game for Alioski – he picked up seven in the Premier League for Leeds last season, and he has 30 league bookings in total for the Whites.
However, he’s never been sent off, testament to his ability to play just within the confines of the rules.
He may be rash at times, but he does also possess a great degree of discipline when required of him.
