Clinton Morrison gushes over ‘Outstanding’ Crysencio Summerville in fresh Leeds United admission
Crysencio Summerville has been “outstanding” for Leeds United this season, as the Whites continue to battle against Leicester City and Ipswich Town for the Championship title.
That is according to Clinton Morrison, who believes that Leeds will be one of the two teams promoted automatically to the Premier League, despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Watford on Friday 29 March.
Summerville stole the spotlight as Daniel Farke’s side could only claim a single point at Vicarage Road, netting his 16th Championship goal of the season.
Speaking live via Sky Sports on Monday (1 April), Morrison said: “It’s not a bad point [against Watford], but they’ll be disappointed that they didn’t take all three. Leeds, for me, are outstanding. This boy here, Summerville, what a player. He’s fantastic; I think he’s been outstanding for them this season.
“They can afford to leave the likes of Wilfried Gnonto on the bench. Ethan Ampadu has been brilliant, as a captain. His partnership with Joe Rodon has been outstanding.
“One thing about Leeds is that they never give up – they keep going right until the end. You’ve got young goalscorers like Mateo Joseph coming on.
“I think Leeds will finish in the top two. I’ve always said that even when they were miles behind. We need them back in the Premier League.”
Can Leeds United pip Leicester City and Ipswich Town to the Championship title?
If Leeds can beat their promotion rivals to the Championship title, Summerville will be a key part of what has been an incredible season at Elland Road.
The in-form winger has notched 16 goals and eight assists, emerging as, arguably, Farke’s most important player, though Georginio Rutter, Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon can all be involved in that debate.
Archie Gray, at the tender age of just 18 years old, is another star at Elland Road, one that many would not have expected to so be mature and key with his performances.

After Leicester claimed a victory against Norwich City on Monday 1 April, the Whites will be keen to claim a victory over Hull City and move back to the top of the table, if the Tractor Boys slip up to Southampton.
The title race is set to come right down to the wire and will be leaving many fans at Elland Road watching through their fingers. But if Farke’s previous experience with Norwich, Leeds should have nothing to worry about.
