‘Clear concern’ shared after Jesse March’s first Leeds United game
Lee Sobot has outlined a “clear concern” for the new Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch following their defeat against Leicester City on Saturday (March 5).
Despite a much better all-round performance than what the Whites have displayed in recent weeks, they still fell to a 1-0 defeat against Brendan Rogers’ side.
With Marsch’s men having enough chances to win the game. The American told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “If we keep playing like this we’re going to get all the points we need.”

To which Sobot said: “To a degree, much depends on what the others do – Burnley and Everton mainly – but Marsch is probably right.
“Yet Leeds will only get those points if they take their chances which is the clear concern from an otherwise impressive start for United’s new head coach, even in defeat.”
Bright start
Unfortunately, Leeds’ Premier League fate, as it stands, is out of their hands.
Everton and Burnley both have the opportunity to leapfrog the Whites should they win their games in hand.
Fortunately for Marsch, those teams have been awful this term but their recent upturns in form might just give the American something to worry about.

The weekend’s result certainly wasn’t the one the fans or new boss would have wanted but there were so many positives which indicated Leeds were in the right hands.
They genuinely looked competitive throughout the whole game and could have picked up some points on another day had Raphinha and co finished their chances.
The performance was there, and they will only get better under the former RB Leipzig boss, but the players need to start doing the business in front of goal.
On another day, Leeds could have won the game with the chances they created, maybe the return of prolific goalscorer Patrick Bamford will be the final piece of the puzzle to keep the Elland Road outfit in the Premier League.
